Everyone keeps telling me the newborn phase goes quickly, and I can’t believe how right they were. When Aniyah was a week old, I bought her a baby Milestone blanket, and I’m so glad I did. It’s super soft, and the pink flowers perfectly match the rug in the nursery.
If you’re a new mom I totally recommend getting a milestone blanket. Not only is it great for tracking early growth, it’s an adorable keepsake and is perfect for tummy time. I also recommend taking the pics in the same clothes when possible. I’ve loved seeing her grow into her outfits. It’s incredible how much she’s grown in the past few months. Aniyah’s Milestones
Month 1: In the first month, we were utterly sleep-deprived. In fact, the first night was pure chaos; the power went out around 10:00 p.m., just as I thought we were finally finding a rhythm. We also didn’t have a pacifier, and she was cluster-feeding. Despite the struggle, things got a lot better with time. We started learning her cues and sleeping when she slept. By the end of the month, she was rolling her eyes like a teenager and had started lifting her head and being nosy.
Aniyah – month 2 September 30th 2024
Month 2: Her dad was able to stay home with us at first, He ended up going back to the office after 3 weeks. Her sleep scheduled changed up a few times so that made some days harder. We started seeing longer naps, but she was SO much more alert! She even started smiling and cooing when we’d talk to her. MELTS my heart every time!!
I love her baby milestone blanket pics. I’m looking forward to making all her milestones memorable.
